When is the first tennessee vols football game

While there will be no traditional Vol Walk to kick off the game, a modified version of tailgating is permitted. No university-sponsored tailgates will take place this year. However, small unofficial gatherings are still allowed. Face masks covering the nose and mouth are mandatory for every attendee.

Fans must wear a mask when entering, exiting and moving around the stadium. The only time masks are optional is when a fan is able to maintain appropriate physical distance from any other attendee. Masks are also optional for fans sitting with a fellow member of his or her same household. Mobile ticketing is another one of the improved health and safety measures Tennessee Athletics is employing for the fall season. The transition to mobile ticketing makes contactless entry possible for the stadium.

This allows for a sanitary and quick admission for patrons on game day. Attendees should download their tickets on their phone before arriving to the stadium. The ticket office located by Gate 21 can assist with any ticketing trouble on game day. Much like every other year, all attendees must have a valid ticket regardless of age. Similarly, re-entry into the stadium is not allowed. Jones has been stellar in this department all season, and he finishes his Tennessee career with another solid outing.

Assuming he could get fully healthy, the hope was that Calbert could potentially step right in and fill the void that Mays is leaving.

Darnell Wright has the left side locked up and the entire interior is back, headlined by Cooper Mays and Jerome Carvin. Without Calbert, Tennessee football will have to turn to Dayne Davis or maybe even Jeremiah Crawford to lock up that side, although Crawford backed up Wright at left tackle this past year.

Now, there is some good news for the Vols in that despite Crawford and Davis being the only other experienced returners at right tackle, they have tons of young talent. William Parker, Chris Akporoghene and converted edge rusher R. Perry are all still there. Putting all those guys together should give Josh Heupel, Alex Golesh and Glen Elarbee plenty of options at right tackle next year.
