Do that for about a minute then leave it unplugged for another few minutes. Then plug it back in. Your error sounds like a power issue possibly failed power board, bad fuse etc. If there is not, you'll have to remove the back from your tV unplugged of course and take a look at the boards. Look but don't touch yet. Post some good pictures of all of your boards etc. That way we can see what you see.

Lauren Roseman that could be casued by multiple isues. Bad main board, bad power board, bad panel etc. We would need to know make and model of your TV and would need you to check a few things to narrow it down.

You are our eyes and hands on here. Nick Bailey. Hey same problem same TV all I do is press power. Unplug and replug power cord and wait. Sometimes it will turn on after 10 secs sometimes I have to hit power button again.

Sounds weird I know but seriously try it. Idk what the defect is caused by but it's a real thing with the rca model. Also if u try my method and it doesn't work u have a bad board and need repair.

Zed Cartwright here. I found if I turned on set the power on standby light would usually go off and set not turn on. Then unplug the set for a couple seconds and then plug back in and get a power light. Turn on set again and light goes out but set does not come on. Do this half a dozen times or up to a dozen times and eventually the set will power up and play great until it is turned off.

I believe there is a power relay that is sticking so when power is hit the light goes out but the relay does not send the signal to the boards. I see that the wires coming in from the power buttons go directly to the main board.

So I figured the problem whether a relay or something else is likely in the main board. The set now comes on like it should every time. Hope this helps you and others. Mine was doing this for a couple of days. I found this site today.

The red power light came on,I waited a few seconds then turn it on. It suddenly powered off and I have not been able to get it to come back on I just want to know which board to replace Chops-Zed here- I have a 55" Vizio that did what yours is doing in that it came on occasionally and then would not power up anymore.

It was a bad power board. Likely a faulty capacitor. Replaced PB 6 months ago still playing great. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that. Important, you also want to let us know what exact chassis your TV is should be on a label on the back of your TV. The general trouble shooting for the No Power situation looks like this.
